The Joint Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Fund is an innovative instrument, integrated into the UN reform, with specific objective to providing the RC and UNCT a mechanism to collaborate together with national governments towards accelerated realization of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. The Joint SDG Fund is a multi-partner trust fund. To date it has funded 97 joint programmes focused on integrated social protection or SDG finance. The joint SDG fund focus is to leave no one behind and this through shift from traditional development approach towards more inclusive and more market based and innovative financing from domestic as well as international financing sources.
